How long have you been playing Lord of the Rings: Online?
Briefly back in 2010-2011, I returned back in March.
Are you a F2P-player or a VIP-player? (optional)
Have you been roleplaying for a long time or is this a whole new experience for you?
I have roleplayed on LOTRO, but it has been more situational and encounters. Or when I traverse with my friend, Kithri (character name). Before that I have been into roleplaying on World of Warcraft, back when I used to play it. But that was a long time ago.
Please post the link to your character's Laurelin Archives profile (if applicable)
How would you describe your knowledge about Lord of the Rings and Dwarrow in specific?
I have been invested in the world of Middle Earth since my earliest memories. The Hobbit delighted me and the tales of the homebody Bilbo and his venture with the thirteen Dwarves excited me. Then I came to The Lord of the Rings and I became utterly hooked to this world. That said, I have gobbled up as much information on Dwarrow (reading up on more through the Tolkien Scholar, which I found out about from the Prancing Pony Podcast). I would say I know a fair amount, although I was certainly more confidant in my knowledge before reading the blogs on the Dwarrow Scholar.
How did you get in contact with our Kinship?
I was looking up more ways to rp as a Dwarf on google.
Do you know any of the Durin's Folk members or have you been in contact with anyone?
I know of Kandral from the Dwarrow Scholar. Then I found out he was the Uzbad of the Durin's Folk kinship.
Why do you wish to join a dwarf-only kinship, as opposed to a mix or other race-oriented kinship?
Very much so. Dealing with the other races is fine and all. In fact I rather enjoy the company of Hobbits. Yet the sons of Durin must stick together and help our folk to rise once more. The world was fair in Durin's Day, I would like to lend whatever meager aid I can to this renewal.
What are you looking for in a kinship and what are your expectations of Durin's Folk?
I am looking for interaction and a place among other Dwarves of Middle Earth. To share tales and songs, and to trade and craft in the halls with others that can aid me in my craft. Motgrouk is an older Dwarf from the Iron Hills, passing 250 years old at this rate. He is not much of the warrior, yet he would gladly reclaim the mattock for his folk. He was at the Battle of the Five armies after all, although he certainly is no warrior of renown.
What kind of activity level are you likely going to have within Durin's Folk?
I would like to take part of as much as possible, I want to learn as much as possible about role play, I want to learn as much as possible about Dwarrow and their Lore and Culture
Which of Durin's Folks Pillars would you like to join? (select one of the Pillars)
I would like to join the Pillar of Lore
And finally: tell us a good joke
My nadad used to always tell me to "Cheer up, and quite looking so grim. It could be worse, you could be stuck underground in a hole full of water." I know he meant well...
